Our founders understand the increasing risks for building safety and the residents of those buildings, as multiple telecommunications companies (telecoms) seek access to install their fibre networks into each building, so they can then offer broadband services to residents.

The race to lay fibre in the Kenya was in part triggered by the Kenyan Government’s bid to increase fixed broadband connectivity to reach 12million households within the next six years. Speaking during the opening of the Connected Africa Summit 2024, President William Ruto said the review will ensure all new buildings are fibre-optic ready inorder to to increase sustainable universal and close the digital divide. However it is imperative that safety is not compromised as part of this race. This led to the idea of a single installation of open source fibre that could potentially be used by all providers, keeping residents and buildings safer: Heri Telecom’s solution delivers on this concept.

Ms. Penina has over 15 years of Human Resources & Management experience in commercial companies and other institutions focused on effective coordinating the human resource with the organizational Golden Thread. She has an impeccable track record in management and leadership skills. She also has a proven track record of delivering exceptional growth through strong leadership performance, diversification and organic growth.

Eng. Mwai brings over 10 years of experience across disciplines in including project management, organizational build and operational delivery in the telecommunications sector. This includes the CEO role at Midsun (EA) Limited a recognized company in energy and power conservation technologies in Eastern Africa. Eng. Mwai has extensive supply chain knowledge, and of building fibre networks. He has developed and led large scale, high performance organizations to deliver to the highest level of safety, risk mitigation and performance standards. Eng. Mwai is responsible for ensuring our business remains at the forefront of operational excellence and can deliver to time, cost, quality and compliance. He is passionate about the whole life journey for both our business and partners we serve, from business and commercial optimization, planning, design and implementation through to asset registration for our customers and stakeholders.
